Woodland Park Nature Preserve, home to nearly 200 bird species and a treasured natural bayou channel has been a sanctuary for wildlife and a peaceful retreat for our city for over 100 years. Your contribution will bring us closer to completing one of FWP’s 15 for 15 Projects, ensuring this beautiful preserve remains protected, inspiring, and increasingly accessible for generations to come.We want all our neighbors and parkgoers to experience the pleasures of the nature trail: herons, egrets, turtles, lizards - and over 170 species of birds in the preserve.
We also want to make sure that the space feels welcoming and secure; the rail will show that these are well maintained and publicly frequented trails.
