Community Meeting for Neighborhood Entrance Improvement Project

Plans have been in the works to make the southeast entrance to the Woodland Heights neighborhood more attractive and to make the connection between the White Oak Bayou Hike and Bike Trail to Woodland Park safer for pedestrians and cyclists.  We are proud to say that the proposed project has received city (specifically the Dept. of Public Works) approval, and a public community meeting will be held to present the design early next month.

[FREE EVENT] Light the Night - April 29

Friends of Woodland Park invites Houston to our celebration of Firefly Field on April 29th from 7pm to 9:30pm at Woodland Park.

This free, family-friendly event is the biggest event we've ever done. We'll have food trucks, face painting, fun activities for the kids, a prize raffle and live music from funk/soul/rock band, Supreme Tabby. It's a Houston-sized party for its second-oldest park.

General Meeting Announcment

Friends, Neighbors & Supporters,

The Friends of Woodland Park will hold its annual general meeting at the Park community building on Tuesday January 19th from 7 -8 PM. The address is 212 Parkview; Houston Ave. at Parkview. The program will include a complete review of the events, efforts, and accomplishments in 2015 along with a presentation of everything proposed for 2016. A financial review will be included as well. There will also be a question and answer session as time permits. Please come and learn how your support has been and will be utilized to improve our historic Park.
